About Jennifer Ghelfi-De Smedt

Jennifer Ghelfi-De Smedt holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and Organization Development. She is also a certified executive coach and is master-certified in team and communications programs including facilitating MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), strategic planning and intact team interventions.

By combining her academic training with more than 20 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources, employee relations and organization development, Jennifer has developed a thorough understanding of people and company cultures. Today her professional mission is twofold: transform HR professionals into true strategists and influencers, and serve as an internal and external coach who helps individuals engage their best talent in the workplace.

Because Jennifer has experienced both sides of job loss - she's been both the decision-maker and the impacted employee - she brings a unique combination of professional and personal understanding to many of the challenges her clients face. Jennifer has also experienced several significant life changes, which ultimately inspired her to develop a model for dealing with and overcoming job loss grief.

An active member of the HR and OD career coaching community, Jennifer regularly delivers presentations at professional development associations and dedicates her time to a variety of for-profit and non-profit organizations including Society for Human Resources Management, Women in Consulting, Northern California Human Resources Association, and SING (St. Isidore Networking Group) where she is a co-leader.
